More than 35 people attended the Mediation Center of Dutchess County’s roundtable,  “What are the Gaps to Overcome Bullying:  A Community Conversation,” on February 15, at Marist College.  Michael Caldwell, MD, MPH, Commissioner, D.C. Health Department, who is the honorary chair of the event greeted the group, explaining that bullying has become a public health issue that must be addressed through prevention and intervention.

Attendees discussed what barriers exist to overcoming bullying, what works to meeting the challenge and how organizations and individuals can work together effectively.  The Mediation Center hosted the event in preparation for an Anti-Bullying Walkathon and Art Show on the Walkway Over the Hudson to be held on Saturday, March 31st, registration at 8am – walk from 9am – 11am.
