Anti-Bullying Walkathon

Anti-Bullying Walkathon
Saturday - March 31, 2012
Registration: 8-9am

Walk: 9-11am

We invite you, your school and/or your community to participate in the 1st Annual Anti-Bullying Walkathon to take place on Saturday, March 31, 2012 on the Walkway Over the Hudson. We hope you will take this opportunity to share your concern and promote positive action that protects and enhances quality of life in our schools and our community.

Please join us in issuing a challenge to our neighbors in Dutchess County to diminish bullying in our schools and community at large. We will give prizes and awards for schools that provide the most walkers and those that raise the most funds. All funds raised will be utilized to provide education and help raise awareness to prevent and resolve bullying.

We are also inviting students in Grades K-12 to enter our Anti-Bullying Art Competition. A panel of area artists and teachers will select outstanding works of art with an anti-bullying theme. The winning artist(s) will win a savings bond and their artwork will be screened on our 2013 Walkathon T-shirt! All student art will be photographed/scanned and displayed on our rolling E-Journal at the Walkathon. Please alert your art teachers to contact CarlaLisa Rovere-Kistner at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 845-485-3483

We thank you in advance for your support for our inaugural event, and appreciate all your ongoing efforts to improve the quality of every school community member’s experience.
